The Author

The Rev. Daniel J. Sparks is a traditional Anglican priest and U.S. Army chaplain with the 43rd Sustainment Brigade. He was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq during from October 2006 through January 2008.

Father Sparks is from Alabama, where he served parishes and non-parochial ministries in Leeds, Luverne, Bessemer, and Tuscaloosa.

Fr. Sparks enjoys reading, writing, computers, geocaching, and hiking. He is also a student of United States history and government. He enjoys sacred, classical, and traditional folk music.

Currently, Fr. Sparks resides in Colorado, where he serves God and country.
