Some of the prayers found in He Shall Direct Thy Paths are selected from the prayer book. The prayer book provides liturgical texts for church services and prayers for various occasions. Morning Prayer and Evening Prayer are particularly helpful for daily devotions.

This devotional guide by the Olympic winner Eric Liddell (whose story was featured in the film Chariots of Fire) is an excellent resource for personal daily meditation. It contains thought-provoking insights on faith and suggests introductory Scripture readings as a survey of the life of Christ and the Christian disciplines.

Packer, J.I. Keeping the Ten Commandments. Wheaton, Ill.: Crossway Books, 2007.

The author provides brief but insightful reflections on the background, meaning, and application of the Ten Commandments for the individual and for society. This is a superb book for personal devotion or groud study.
